We really like this campground situated in the Newport Marina. Nice walking path around the bay and the OSU facility. Walking distance to the Rogue Brewery and Restaurant. You can hear the seals barking across the bay. This is our second time to camp here and we plan to return again.

This is a very nice and relatively new campground. Good paved roads and concrete tire strips. It is situated next to the Rogue River, very pleasant setting.

I agree with most of what others have mentioned. This is a nice RV campground. It is clean and for the most part is well designed. There are several downsides that need to be mentioned. The sewer connections are sunken in the ground inside a six inch pipe. Our sewer elbow would not connect and we had to purchase an extension in the office for $6.80. The lawn sprinklers are set to come on every night and hit the sides of our motor home up to about three foot high. The water is hard and left water spots. And lastly, the quiet hours of 10 pm to 8 am are not enforced. We experienced a loud party behind our site that lasted until 2:30 am.

This is a very nice campground. It is clean and quiet. The spacing between sites is good and the hookups were adequately placed. We will stay again.

We have stayed in this campground many times when we visit relatives in Casper. Likewise, we have stayed at many KOA campgrounds. This one is average at best. The sites are all gravel with few trees and it is near Interstate 25 with some traffic noise. The reason I gave this campground such a low rating is they raised their rates to $40 a night. I felt it was too high last year at $35 and it is definitely too high now. I asked about the increased rates and was told, "everything is going up, so we raised our rates" What they fail to realize is that we cut our stay short due to their rates. Instead of two nights, we would have stayed at least four nights had the rates been more reasonable.

I agree with the previous poster on the basic facilities. I wanted to add that the advertised free WiFi was essentially unusable. It was so weak in the middle of the campground I could not make an Internet connection. I called the office and they were no help and seemed not to care. If you advertise you have free WiFi it should work.

While the previous posts leave a rather bad impression of this campground, I think just the opposite. I have camped here while passing through this area annually for the past 4 years. The new owner (2 years ago), has made considerable improvements and the campground is much cleaner. The sites for overnight campers are large and have a new fence between each site. The sites are level and very long. You can easily keep your tow vehicle attached to your RV. The office is clean and well arranged. The swimming pool was open and several kids appeared to be having a great time. Yes, there are a large number of full timers (local workers) camped here. Their sites are clean and mostly on the back side of the campground. The management is friendly and helpful. Overall, for an overnight stay in west Texas, this is hard to beat.

This is a great RV campground just one half mile off Interstate 20. It is all new having opened in December 2008. It is extremely nice! One of the best campgrounds we have stayed at. All sites are large, level and have plenty of room between units. The sites and roads are asphalt with gravel. Each site has a concrete pad near the entry door of your RV. There is a very nice Office/store for check-in. There are four restroom/shower facilities with very large showers. There are two laundry rooms. There are two clubhouses, an exercise room and a recreation room. And, a swimming pool and hot tub. In addition to all this, they have 14 cabins to rent and a fishing hole. The management was very nice and made us feel right at home. Please note that this campground is located on half mile north of the New Salem exit of Interstate 20 on Highway 281. We will definitely stay here again.

This campground is overpriced and somewhat run down. I asked for a good place to eat and was directed to the local casino. Again, too expensive, $24.95 for the seafood buffet. Unless you like to gamble at the casinos there is really no reason to stay here. We stayed because it was late in the day, and we could not make it to Salt Lake City.

It is obvious the new management is trying to upgrade this RV park. They are improving the sites and revamping the office. The staff was extremely helpful. It is a nice place to stay and distanced from the Interstate highway so the noise was negligible.

This is a great campground! We really enjoyed our stay. They offered off-season rates and military discounts. We would definitely stay here again.

Many sites are small and will not accommodate larger rigs. Do not expect to get satellite reception, even with a portable dish. After several hours of searching for a signal with my portable dish, the park ranger came by and moved it because my cable went across a path next to our site (even though I secured the cable to prevent anyone from tripping). And, TV reception with the bat wing antennae was terrible. It is a nice park within walking distance to the beach, just be sure to consider the downsides if you want to watch TV during your stay.

This is a great place to stay. The camp host met us shortly after we settled in and gave us a quick review of what to see and do in the local area. The campground is quiet and well laid out next to the Newport Marina. A nature trail is nearby and you can also walk along the marina and fishing pier. Bayfront Harbor is across the bay with restaurants and a working fishing harbor. This is another great place for a walk. There is lots to see and do in this area. Also, the Rogue Brewery is within walking distance. They have a restaurant and pub.

This is quite expensive for what is offered. It is closer to the Interstate than I expected and the highway noise is evident. The pull-through sites are gravel and situated in the trees. The office is closed from 10:30 to 3:00 each day so don't expect assistance during those times. On the bright side, the Wi-Fi worked well and was free. Cable TV was also provided. It is OK for an overnight stay, but I probably would not stay here again.

This is a very nice RV campground. It has city water with good pressure as well as good electric and sewer. The campground is well laid out and has the option of shade tree sites or open sites for satellite reception. They also offer free Wifi. This is a great location for visiting Springfield, about 10 miles from downtown. There is some noise from the highway but it wasn't objectionable. We will stay here again.

This is the highest priced and worst KOA I have camped in. Half of the washers in the laundry room would not work. There was no trash dumpster on the campground, only a small trash can. The Recreation room was locked and empty. All sites are gravel and not very level. If you camp here use caution since the water pressure is high. I would not stay here again.

I experienced electrical problems, causing my surge gard to drop the connection. The RV next to me had the same problem. When I approached the owner he blamed my surge gard, insisting there was nothing wrong with his electricity. I will never stay there again.

This is a large campground located next to the Hilton Hotel and Casino. It shares the Hilton pool and other facilities. It is a clean, and very well maintained campground. The only downside is its location near the Reno airport. There is a good amount of airport traffic noise.

This is a very nice campground sitting high on a ridge overlooking the town of Las Cruces and the Organ Mountains. Beautiful views in the evening! The camp is very clean and well maintained. We will stay here again.

This is a very nice, quiet place to stay. It is far enough from the Interstate that there is minimal traffic noice. The owners are a husband and wife team that go the extra mile to ensure everything is perfect. We enjoyed our stay and will stay again.
